Preparation of laboratory tests at the Istituto Clinico S. Anna

The headquarters of the Sant'Anna Clinical Institute is in Brescia in via del Franzone 31.

The Analysis Laboratory of the Sant'Anna Clinical Institute is the General Clinical Laboratory (Clinical Pathology- Microbiology) of Brescian Hospital Institutes.

Access to the Blood Collection Point is direct and without reservation (for blood samples) and it is possible to carry out laboratory tests both in agreement with the National Health Service and privately.

 

Withdrawal Time

The samples are carried out in the clinic number 31 located on the first floor of the Satellite Monoblock following acceptance at the CUP desk located on the ground floor of the same Satellite Monoblock.

Acceptance times:

  • Blood sampling and sample delivery: Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 9:20
  • Collections for PAP tests and urogenital swabs in agreement with the National Health Service: Tuesday from 10.00 to 12.10 and Friday from 8.00 to 10.30 (examination with mandatory reservation).
  • Private collections for PAP tests and urogenital swabs: Tuesday from 12.15 to 13.00.

 

Exams with reservation required

For the following exams, telephone booking is required on 030.3153000.

  • Samples for PAP tests, urogenital swabs and urogenital swabs.

 

Acceptance and withdrawal

The user presents himself at the Acceptance of the Withdrawal Point equipped with:

  • Referral from the GP or specialist (if he carries out tests with the NHS)
  • Health card
  • Tax code and/or identity document
  • Any exemption card (for pathology, disability, income...)

 

The administrative employee, after having verified the user's identity, provides information regarding the right to privacy and registers the request for service on a specific portal.

The user is given the report collection form, the invoice containing the surname, name, requested tests and identification labels. Any consent and data collection forms can be delivered.

The user waits for their turn in the room adjacent to the sampling point clinic.

The Nurse in the Sampling Room, after having ascertained the user's identity, collects labels and forms and gives information on how to prepare the biological samples to be delivered (urine...).

The nurse labels the tubes necessary for the required tests and carries out the sampling. The Nurse collects any biological samples and labels them.

The internal Auxiliary Staff collects the samples and any corresponding forms from the Sampling Point Clinic and transports them using special containers to the sorting point located in the Analysis Laboratory.

If it is necessary to repeat the withdrawal or collection, the Administrative Staff will contact the user providing all the relevant information and agreeing the day of the repetition.

 

Withdrawal of reports

Digitally signed paper reports are available on the electronic health record.

The paper collection of the reports must instead be carried out by the patient himself or by a person delegated by him through a specific declaration by presenting himself at the External Reception of the Sant'anna Clinical Institute.

The reports are delivered:

  • From 10.30am to 3.30 pm from Monday to Friday
