Preparation of laboratory tests at the Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia
The headquarters of the Clinical Institute of the City of Brescia is in Brescia in via Gualla 15.
The Analysis Laboratory of the Clinical Institute of the City of Brescia is a branch of the General Clinical Laboratory (Clinical Pathology – Microbiology) of the Brescia Hospital Institutes.
Access to the Blood Collection Point is direct and without reservation (for blood sampling) and it is possible to perform laboratory tests both in agreement with the National Health Service and privately.
Collection timetable
Blood samples are taken in clinic 22, after acceptance at the counter.
Both Clinic 22 and the Blood Collection Point Acceptance are located on the ground floor at the end of corridor A. Reception hours:
- Blood sampling and sample delivery: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 to 10:00
- Blood sampling and sample delivery: Friday 7:00 - 10:00
- Pap test and urogenital swab sampling: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00 to 8:00 (reservation required for testing)
Exams with mandatory booking
For the following tests, telephone booking is required at 030.3710247
- Samples for Pap tests and urogenital swabs
- Breath test for Helicobacter pylori
- Breath test for lactose, glucose (SIBO) and lactulose intolerance
- Glucose and insulin load curve (OGGT)
- Semen analysis
- Chlamydia trachomatis rtPCR on vaginal or endocervical swab
Acceptance and collection
The user presents himself at the Collection Point Reception equipped with:
- GP referral (if performing tests with the SSN)
- Health card
- Tax ID code
- Any exemption card (for pathology, disability, income, etc.)
The administrative employee, after having verified the user's identity, provides information about the right to privacy and registers the service request on a specific portal.
The user is given the report collection form, the invoice containing surname, name, requested tests, identification labels and the consent form for the processing of personal data. Any consents and data collection forms may be given.
