Contract and Benefit Manager for Hospital Private Activity

We are seeking an experienced Contract and benefit manager for hospital private activity to join GKSD Healthcare branch in Iraq and work for the group’s hospital project in the Country. The position will be responsible for developing the private activity management and strategy and pricing policies, according to the Company standards and Iraqi regulation, managing agreements and conventions with insurance, organizations and private patients, and ensuring the smooth processing of private admissions and billing processes.

This role involves working closely with hospital management, insurances, organizations and other relevant stakeholders for the private sector activity. The role will engage the coordination of the private patients billing offices in the Company’s hospitals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop the private sector activity of the Group in the Country:
    • Develop a strategy for the private activity in partnership with Group’s top management.
    • Setting a pricing strategy according the Iraqi regulation, stakeholders and Group’s policies.
    • Define the processes for billing and quotations management inside the hospital, coordinating the work of the private billing officers.
    • Work closely with the hospitals’ top management and clinical leads to deploy the best strategy.
  2. Agreements and Conventions Management
    • Develop, review, and manage agreements and conventions with local and international health insurances, international and national organizations, and private patients, ensuring all terms are clear and aligned with the Hospital policies.
    • Negotiate and finalize contracts with local and international health insurances, international and national organizations, and private patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain a comprehensive record of all agreements and conventions, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  3. Payment and billing process management:
    • Develop a clear and strategic pricing strategy and implement a system for managing quotations, billing processes inside the hospitals.
    • Ensure that all estimates are accurate, transparent, and compliant with pricing policies and procedures.
    • Ensure a process of claims management and insurance management to reduce rejections rate and ensure the timely payment processes.
  4. Coordination and Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for private patients’ representatives parties and the Group hospitals’ management.
    • Coordinate, supervise and manage the private patients’ billing offices inside hospital.
    • Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure all necessary information is included in quotations and agreements.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
    • Establish and oversight a system for maintaining accurate records of all agreements, quotations, and estimates, ensuring they are stored securely and in compliance with privacy regulations.
  6. Reporting:
    • Prepare regular reports on the status of agreements, conventions, quotations, and estimates for management review.
    • Track and report on key metrics related to private patient admissions and financial agreements.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Economics, Business, Healthcare Management or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a healthcare or administrative role, preferably in the hospital private sector in Iraq.
  • Proficient in using office software and patient management systems (e.g., MS Office, EHR systems).
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
