Social Media Manager

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join the GKSD Healthcare branch in Iraq. This role will contribute to developing, implementing, and managing the hospitals’ digital communication strategy to enhance their online presence and communication efforts. The focus is on strengthening the trust of the social community, providing information about the healthcare services offered by the hospitals, promoting health and well-being, and supporting public relations initiatives. Responsibilities include creating and managing content in line with the hospitals’ values and objectives, while monitoring and fostering interaction with the community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase the hospitals' visibility and engage with target audiences.
  • Ensure the planning and publication of new advertising and informational content to be shared on social media channels, coordinating with the relevant management to develop the necessary creative materials and with the Hospital’s departments to define the services/products to be promoted, in accordance with the agreed budget and schedule.
  • Manage and maintain the hospitals’ social media profiles and pages, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with the online community to foster positive relationships and address any concerns.
  • Develop and manage engaging content for social media profiles, optimizing targeting strategies to effectively reach and resonate with the intended audience.
  • Lead influencer partnership collaborations by identifying, building, and maintaining strong relationships with influencers and external partners to amplify the hospital’s social media presence, increase engagement, and drive brand awareness
  • Ensure the best digital experience for information and digital services by verifying that the communications delivered are directed toward the predefined target and generate the expected behaviors.
  • Liaise with hospital management in order to be kept up-to-date on scientific and clinical projects and thus be able to create communication content by interviewing healthcare personnel.
  • Suggest and develop local engagement and communication initiatives - addressed to employees and patients - (e.g. newsletters, flyers, etc.) aimed at improving the patient experience and increasing customer loyalty.
  • Manage, innovate and identify new spaces dedicated to communication initiatives, also organizing the positioning of information materials, in order to make the best out of available spaces for promotion and information and improve the patient experience.
  • Ensure the moderation of messages across all the Hospitals' social media channels, maintaining a positive and constructive dialogue with the community, and intervene in critical situations to protect the Group's reputation.
  • Stay updated on communication trends and experiment with new strategies and formats on relevant channels to keep the Hospital’s presence aligned with changes in the digital landscape
  • Monitor online conversations and trends relevant to healthcare and the hospital’s services.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Gruppo San Donato's vision, values, mission, and policies, maintaining high standards of ethical conduct and integrity. Collaborate with all business functions in accordance with regulations, internal rules, and the Group's governance system.
  • Track and analyze social media performance.
  • Provide regular reports on social media engagement, growth, and campaign performance to the senior management team

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics).
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and storytelling ability to engage diverse audiences.
