Curriculum

Il dottor Ugo Catrambone è responsabile dell’Unità di Chirurgia della tiroide e paratiroide presso l’IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

Si laurea nel 1997 in Medicina e Chirurgia presso l’Università degli studi di Genova con tesi sul trattamento chirurgico delle malattie della Tiroide. Nel 2003 si specializza in Chirurgia Generale presso lo stesso ateneo, con anche 2 esperienze formative all’estero in itinere presso il Brigham and Women's Hospital Della Harvard Medical school di Boston e presso l’Ospedale Universitario di Zurigo.

Dal 2011 al 2012 ha frequentato il reparto di chirurgia generale dell'ospedale di Pisa per conseguire il Master Universitario di II livello in Chirurgia Tiroidea e Paratiroidea

La sua attività clinica si concentra sul trattamento dei tumori della tiroide, delle malattie funzionali della Tiroide (ipertiroidismo, Basedow, Plummer) e del gozzo polinodulare. Trattamento dell'iperpatiroidismo primitivo, dei tumori benigni e maligni delle paratiroidi, anche con tecnica mini-invasiva.

Svolge attività di ricerca sui tumori della Tiroide e la Chirurgia delle paratiroidi con 19 pubblicazioni scientifiche.

Partecipa attivamente a congressi nazionali e internazionali di settore.
